Kentucky environmental attorney Sanders says Microsoft loses first appeal of $240,000,000 verdict in patent infringement case.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit upheld the trial court verdict rendered in favor of  i4i Limited Partnership gainst Microsoft Corporation in the amount of $240,000,000. The appellate court also upheld a permanent injunction issued against Microsoft barring future sales of Microsoft Word products which contain a “custom XML editor” software.
