Kentucky state police have begun a campaign called “Blue Lights Across the Bluegrass” in which they target speeding and reckless drivers. Troopers are partnering with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and local law enforcement during the campaign, which goes through July 31, 2009 in the Commonwealth.

Kentucky highways are among the fastest in the nation.  Hopefully this tactic will stop the budding NASCAR drivers in the Commonwealth, at least in July 2009.

Slow down and do not drink and drive.
