Kentucky environmental attorney Sanders says KDAQ holding public meeting in Winchester on proposed EKPC’s coal fired electric power plant in Clark County on February 4, 2010.

East Kentucky Power Cooperative is proposing to construct a 278-megawatt coal-fueled unit at J.K. Smith Station in the community of Trapp, in southern Clark County, Kentucky. 

 The Kentucky Division of Air Quality has issued a draft air permit for Smith #1  KDAQ will conduct a public hearing on the draft air permit on Feb. 4, 2010, 6:30 p.m. at the Clark County Extension Office, 1400 Fortune Drive, Winchester, Ky.

 WHEN: Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 6:30 pm. Show up early if you want a seat.
