Kentucky environmental attorney Sanders says don’t inhale radon, as it kills 20,000 people each year in the U.S. from lung cancer.

Just when you thought it was safe to inhale, January is National Radon Action Month, and the U.S. EPA has three initiatives to raise awareness about the risks of radon. Radon is a colorless, odorless, radioactive gas that can exist at dangerous levels in homes, schools and other buildings.

An estimated 20,000 people die every year in the U.S. from radon-related lung cancer.  More information on radon: http://www.epa.gov/radon or call 1-800-SOS-RADON (767-7236).
