Kentucky attorney Sanders says FTC released video on You Tube highlighting consumer rights under Fair Debt Collection Act.

Attention credit card users and members of the general public who are in debt and being called on the telephone by debt collectors.  Sometimes, debt collectors even send out written correspondence to people behind in their debt payments.

For those lucky (a few in number) folks who don’t know what about debt collectors, a debt collector is someone, other than the creditor, who regularly collects debts owed to someone else. Lawyers who collect debts on a regular basis are considered debt collectors, too

The Federal Trade Commission recently released a short, simple, two-minute video highlighting your legal rights under the Fair Debt Collection Act.  The FTC video is available at www.youtube.com/ftcvideos.  Find more information at www.ftc.gov/moneymatters.

If you have more questions, call an attorney who is practices in this area of the law.
