Kentucky environmental attorney Sanders says save time, money and lessen air emissions by avoiding delays due to road construction on our commute to work and play.

Like you, I commute to work.  So, I like a heads up on traffic delays due to road construction.  Thus, watch out for these road construction activities occurring in January 2010 in Kenton County, Kentucky:

·     I-75 SB (189-188 mile marker) – Beginning 9:00 PM, January 15 and extending through 5:00 AM, January 18, 2010 crews will be conducting pavement repairs with equipment on I-75 SB  from Kyle’s Lane (Exit 189) to Dixie Highway (Exit 188).  The Kyle’s Lane entrance ramp to I-75 SB will be closed.  Also the I-75 SB exit ramp to Dixie Highway-Ft.Mitchell (Exit 188) will be closed.  A message board will be in place to direct the Dixie Highway-Ft. Mitchell traffic to take the Kyle Lane Exit. Motorists should watch for crews, equipment and lane closures.  Long delays are expected.

 ·     I-75 NB (191-192 mile marker) – Beginning 9:00 PM, January 15 and extending through 5:00 AM January 18, 2010 crews will be conducting pavement repairs with equipment on I-75 NB  from 12th Street (Exit 191) to 5th Street (Exit 192).  Traffic will be reduced to one lane, but all ramps will remain open.  A message board will be in place before I-275 warning motorists of long delays and suggesting that they use an alternate route.   Motorists should watch for crews, equipment and lane closures.

Warning, long delays are expected on this projace.  Thus, motorists are advised to use an alternate route if possible.  From 9 PM until 9 am will be double lane closures.  From 9 am until 9 pm will be single lane closures.

What a mess, but it will all be worth it in the end for those of us using these roads on our commute to work and play!
