Environmental lawyer Sanders says Kentucky Division of Water asking for public comments on several different permits, including state-wide stormwater runoff from construction activities.

Among the public notices available from the Kentucky Division of Water is one for a state-wide General Permit for stormwater runoff form construction activities.  The permit would apply to all receiving streams, except those with Outstanding National Resource Waters, Outstanding State Resource Waters, Exceptional Waters or Coldwater Aquatic Habitats.  In other words, most streams and rivers in Kentucky. 

So, if you are sick and tired of mud and debri flowing down from construction sites and onto your property or public highway, now is your chance to voice your opinion on the subject matter.  Speak now or hold your peace.

Comments for any action listed in this public notice must be received by the respective section of the Division of Water no later than 4:30 p.m. EST on the comment due date for each type of action listed. Click here for more information regarding public notice comment procedures.
