Lawyer Sanders says 2008 list of polluted Kentucky lakes and streams are identified in 303(d) report required by Clean Water Act.

Kentucky must prepare a list of state water resources that are impaired as a result of one or more pollutants and do not meet one or more water quality standards under Section 303(d) of the Clean Water Act.  Impaired water resources are identified through assessment and monitoring programs conducted by Kentucky Division of Water personnel, volunteer networks and other local, state and federal agencies.

The 2008 list of impaired Kentucky streams and lakes is at http://www.water.ky.gov/NR/rdonlyres/58E97683-C9B7-4F9F-BA87-93671E6A02D9/0/2008volume2final.pdf
