Lawyer Sanders says Kentucky’s black gold drops to $133 per short ton on spot market for last week of September 2008.

According to the Federal Energy Information Administration the spot market price for a short ton of central Appalachian coal for the week ending October 3, 2008 was $133.  Last year at this time the spot market price for a short ton of central Appalachian coal was around $50.  Stock up on flannel pajamas this winter because your utility bill is going to be higher than last year.
